- 1. Installing Thomas Regional on CD-ROM

- Thomas Regional on CD-ROM is a Windows CD-ROM program. To install Thomas
- Regional on CD-ROM, insert the Thomas Regional CD into your CD-ROM drive.
- In the 'File' menu of your Windows Program Manager, select the 'Run' menu
- item. The 'Run Program' dialog box should now be displayed on your
- screen. Click the 'Browse' button, select SETUP.EXE from the root of the
- Thomas Regional CD, and click 'OK'. Now click 'OK' in the 'Run Program'
- dialog box.

- The Thomas Regional on CD-ROM installation program will now run. You will
- be prompted for several directories where you want Thomas Regional on
- CD-ROM to be installed, and several options for installation. Follow the
- directions as they are displayed.

- Once the installation has finished the following new directories will
- reside on your hard drive (based on default Thomas Regional on CD-ROM
- directories) -

- C:\TREND (Base Thomas Regional on CD-ROM directory)
- C:\TREND\NYJ (Greater New York & New Jersey program directory)
- C:\TREND\TUTORIAL (User Tutorial directory)

- The Thomas Regional on CD-ROM install program will also create a Windows
- Program Group for running Thomas Regional on CD-ROM. The default name of
- this Program Group is 'Thomas Regional'.

- 2. Running Thomas Regional on CD-ROM

- To run Thomas Regional on CD-ROM, insert the Thomas Regional CD into your
- CD-ROM drive, open the Thomas Regional Windows Program Group, and
- double click on the Thomas Regional on CD-ROM icon.

- You may also run Thomas Regional on CD-ROM by using the 'Run' menu item
- in the 'File' menu of your Windows Program Manager. Next click the
- 'Browse' button, change the current directory to your local Thomas
- Regional on CD-ROM directory (default directory is C:\TREND\NYJ), and
- select TREND.EXE in that directory. Click 'OK' in this 'Browse' dialog
- box, and then click 'OK' in the 'Run Program' dialog box. This will then
- run Thomas Regional on CD-ROM.

- 3. Running the Thomas Regional on CD-ROM Tutorial from your CD-ROM drive

- If you wish to run the tutorial from your CD-ROM drive, go to your
- CD-ROM drive in File Manager, and run either TUTORIAL.EXE
- (w/ sound) or TUTORNS.EXE (w/out sound) from the TUTORIAL
- subdirectory of the Thomas Regional CD.

- 4. Uninstalling the Thomas Regional on CD-ROM Tutorial

- If you are concerned about saving local hard drive space, you can
- uninstall the Thomas Regional on CD-ROM Tutorial without effecting the
- Thomas Regional on CD-ROM program in any way. To do this, open your File
- Manager and go to your local Thomas Regional on CD-ROM Tutorial directory,
- and delete the files TUTORIAL.EXE and TUTORNS.EXE from that directory
- (approx. 3 MB). Then you may remove the Tutorial program items from the
- Thomas Regional program group by highlighting each icon, and pressing
- DELETE.

- 5. Uninstalling Thomas Regional on CD-ROM

- When Thomas Regional on CD-ROM is first installed on your machine, an
- icon should appear in your program manager called "Uninstall Greater New
- York & New Jersey". Simply double click this icon to start the uninstall
- program. It is recommended that you select "Automatic" when asked how
- you want to uninstall Thomas Regional on CD-ROM.
